Four in 10 British workers failed to take all of their annual leave entitlement last year, according to recruitment agency Reed.
Over a quarter said their reluctance was motivated by fear that their workload would swamp them when they got back to the office. A further 13% said that anxieties about job security had stopped them. Reed MD Martin Warnes says that such behaviour is misguided as proper holidays led to ‘a happier, more motivated and engaged workforce’.
